PEMF Healing / iTorus · Future medicine
iTorus App
The iTorus App is my current work: a pioneering platform in the emerging field of frequency healing, delivering on-demand PEMF and Rife programs on Apple, Android and desktop, paired with a Shopify retail presence.
- Role
- CEO / Co-Founder, PEMF Healing. Head Product Designer and Manager (A to Z design, build, release). Chief Editor, PEMF Magazine.
- Timeline
- Feb 2023 to present
- Team
- Founder, 2 engineers, content/production, myself

The problem
Frequency therapy was locked to a standalone hardware player. Customers could only run programs at home, in one place, with no library, no history and no way to discover what to run next.
The business also needed to move from one-time hardware sales to a recurring subscription without alienating the existing customer base that had already paid for a player.
- , Migrating existing standalone-player customers without breaking their routines
- , Subscription model and reliable data delivery over unreliable connections
- , Enough programs available at MVP to justify a recurring price
- , One coherent experience across iOS, Android and desktop with a small team
Process
01
Program taxonomy first
Before any screen, I mapped the library: Rife, PEMF, Meridian, biophotonic and blended protocols, organized by intent, sleep, recovery, focus, pain, rather than by frequency numbers only practitioners understand.

02
One session model, three platforms
A single session component, select, queue, play, log, reused across platforms so the mental model never changes when a user moves from phone to desktop.

03
Offline as a first-class state
Sessions are long and often run in places with poor signal. Downloads, resumability and offline history were designed into the core flow, not bolted on.

04
Commerce migration
Migrated the retail presence to Shopify and connected it to the subscription funnel, so device buyers land in the app library instead of a PDF manual.

Screens
Every screen and design artifact from this engagement.

Outcome
- 3
- platforms shipped from one design system
- Offline
- streaming for full-length protocols
- MVP → subscription
- business model transition completed
What I'd do differently
I would have instrumented session completion from day one. We optimized the library before we could see where people abandoned a protocol mid-session, that data would have reordered the roadmap.
